The 15th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition
Using the blue sky as its canvas, the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition chronicles the resolute strides of the Chinese Dream. Since its stunning debut in 1996 to its current status among the "elite group" of international aviation exhibitions, the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition has traversed over 20 years of glorious journey.
The 15th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition will be held at the Zhuhai International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition Center from November 12 to 17, 2024. Cowin Welding will showcase its aerospace application solutions at the exhibition. We sincerely invite our new and old customers/friends to visit our booth and join us in this grand event!

PART.02 Aerospace Application Solutions
1--Application of Fronius Intelligent Welding in the Aerospace Field
In addition to continuously developing advanced welding processes such as TIG welding and CMT (Cold Metal Transfer) welding, Fronius also tailors specialized automatic welding equipment for users. These technical equipment have been successfully applied to some special and difficult-to-weld components with high quality requirements, such as aerospace engine piping, engine blades and nozzles, combustion chambers, non-circular aluminum fuel tanks for engines, aircraft landing gears, space station components, rocket launchers, etc. The materials involved include aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and various high-temperature alloys.
2--Application of Soudax Precision Resistance Welding in the Aerospace Field
Soudax's small ball tack welding and honeycomb tack welding processes are widely used for positioning and local fastening before brazing of high-temperature alloy components in aerospace engines, and have been widely accepted by global aerospace engine manufacturers, OEMs, and MRO maintenance providers. The small ball tack welding process is used to position and maintain part consistency before brazing, and is widely applied to critical components such as blades, nozzles, ducts, and vanes in CFM56, LEAP, and Trent aerospace engines. The materials include stainless steel, Inconel, titanium alloys, and nickel-based alloys. The honeycomb tack welding process is used for positioning honeycomb rings and multi-section splicing of honeycomb components before brazing. Like the honeycomb in aerospace engine turbine nozzles, there are various specifications and shapes, such as honeycomb sheets and rings, made of various high-temperature alloys. The process equipment covers manual welding, semi-automatic welding, and fully automatic honeycomb welding workstations. Soudax's precision tack spot welding and seam welding processes are also widely used on components such as high-temperature sensors and filters in aerospace engines.
3--Application of Arc-Based Additive Manufacturing (DED-Arc) in the Aerospace Field
Arc-Based Additive Manufacturing (DED-Arc) is an advanced digital manufacturing technology that uses an arc or plasma arc as a heat source to melt metal wire and, under program or software control, adopts the principle of layer-by-layer deposition to manufacture three-dimensional metal blanks close to the product's shape and size requirements based on a three-dimensional digital model.
The application of DED-Arc technology in the aerospace field is particularly prominent. In March 2023, Relativity Space successfully launched its first 3D-printed rocket, Terran 1, whose fuel tanks were manufactured using DED-Arc technology. Additionally, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation's Jielong-3 and Long March-11 rockets also utilized DED-Arc technology to manufacture satellite brackets and support rods. In the I-Break project initiated by Airbus in the UK with 15 partners, DED-Arc technology was used to develop and manufacture major structural components of the landing gear currently produced using large forgings.
