On October 19th, the finals of the Robot Application Skills Competition of the 2024 Pudong New Area Robot Innovation Application and Skills Competition concluded successfully at the first phase of the Zhangjiang Innovation Park · High-end Equipment and Precision Instrument Industrial Park in Shanghai. This competition was guided by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and jointly hosted by the Pudong New Area Federation of Trade Unions, the District Development and Reform Commission, the District Science and Technology Economic Commission, the District Education Bureau, the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Robotics Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It was organized by Kangqiao Group and the Federation of Trade Unions of Kangqiao Industrial Zone in Zhangjiang Science City. The event attracted 613 participants from over a hundred participating organizations, reaching an audience of 410,000 people. It was an unprecedented "industry-academia-research-application" integrated competition, and Cowin Welding, as one of the supporting organizations, contributed to the smooth progression of the competition.
This competition aims to establish a high-level competition platform based in Pudong, serving Shanghai, and facing the whole country. Through the competition model of integrated promotion of "training-competition-certification-application", it promotes the common development of employees, enterprises, and industries. Chang Yanfang, the regional director of Cowin Welding in Shanghai, and Zhang Xiaoxian, the process engineer, served as judges in the proposal and practical competition respectively. With their professional perspectives and rigorous attitudes, they contributed to the fair evaluation of the competition.
