On October 23, 2025, Cowin Welding's "2025 Technology Open Day & CMT 20th Anniversary · Enlightening the Future Exchange Conference" was successfully held in Zhuhai, Guangdong. With the theme of "CMT Technology: 20th Anniversary · Enlightening the Future", this event presented a grand feast of welding technology through keynote sharing, Fortis new product launch, on-site operation demonstrations and in-depth exchanges.
The event kicked off with opening speeches. Mr. Thomas, Fronius International Regional Sales Manager, and Mr. Simon So, Chairman of Cowin Welding, delivered speeches on stage successively.
Subsequently, Li Hang, Engineering Machinery Industry Manager of Cowin Welding, and Li Lei, Shandong Regional Director, delivered a series of reports titled "CMT Process Development Path", "Typical Applications of CMT Joint Welding" and "Applications of CMT in Surfacing, 3D Printing & Laser Hybrid Welding". These reports systematically sorted out the development context of CMT technology from basic processes to diversified innovations. In the keynote sharing session, Zhang Fei, Senior Technical Engineer of Cowin Welding, focused on the new-generation CMT technology - iWave CMT AC, and discussed its technical potential in future intelligent manufacturing.The afternoon session centered on the launch of Fortis new products. Mr. Sider Josef, Senior Welding Expert of Fronius Manual Welding, and Mr. Thomas introduced the product features and design concepts of the Fortis series, providing in-depth technical analysis.
After the sharing session, Ms. Kwok, General Manager of Cowin Welding, made a summary of the day's reports and sharing at the Open Day.
In the visit session after the reports, the participating guests were divided into groups and guided by Manager Huang Qingsong (Hubei Regional Director of Cowin Welding) and Manager Lu Jiasong (Guangdong Regional Director). They visited the Fortis New Product Experience Area, CMT Robot Workstation and multiple application scenario demonstration areas in sequence. The guests experienced the operation of equipment such as the Fortis Collaborative System and Fortis+Velo on site, gained an in-depth understanding of the TPS/i CMT and iWave CMT workstations, and learned about the solutions of CMT technology and Fortis new products in various industrial scenarios through real-scene application demonstrations.
