As the most influential academic event in China's welding discipline, the "National Welding Academic Conference" has developed into a branded academic exchange platform with nearly 1,000 participants and significant industry influence since its inception in 1962. It plays an irreplaceable role in promoting academic exchanges, technological innovation, and industry-university-research cooperation in the welding field.
Hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) and organized by the Welding Branch of CMES, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and other institutions, the "29th National Welding Academic Conference" will be grandly held in Wuhan, Hubei Province from October 10 to 13, 2025.
Centering on the theme of "Innovative Intelligence in Welding · Forging the Future through Integration", the conference will set up 15 parallel sessions, covering key fields such as brazing, intelligent welding, arc additive manufacturing, and fusion welding processes and equipment. It will gather top experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives at home and abroad to discuss the cutting-edge trends of welding technology and the implementation paths in the industry.

Report Abstract: The Fronius iWave Digital and Intelligent Welding Platform is equipped with processes such as DynamicWire, CycleTIG, AC PMC, and AC CMT, which greatly reduce the skill requirements for operators, expand the process window, and make welding more intelligent and operation more convenient.
The DynamicWire dynamic wire feeding control technology compensates for the impact of adverse factors such as arc length changes and joint dimension deviations during the welding process, significantly lowering the skill requirements for welders.
AC PMC and AC CMT technologies perfectly combine high-efficiency wire melting with low heat input to the base material. Among them, AC CMT is the MIG/MAG process with the lowest heat input, ensuring an excellent weld appearance.
